Haiku Day 2025. April 17 is the day the whole world honors haiku. To celebrate ihpd, the haiku foundation sponsors the haikulife haiku film.

During the 17th century, haiku became its own poetry form, and as of 2012, it has been commemorated with a holiday known as national haiku poetry day. National haiku poetry day emerged as a way to honor haiku, share creative expressions, and connect with fellow poets and poetry lovers online.
